Incident Date 30-Mar-03 Ready for Service 30-Mar-03 Launch Instruct 11:58 Ready for Service Time 13:00 Launch Time 11:58 All Weather Boat (AWB) 2003 Shout Number 6 Coxswain Richard Fowler Mechanic Nigel Coulton Location of Casualty Roundham Head, Paignton Service Member of public reported two divers in difficulty off Roundham Head. AWB on exercise at time hence immediate tasking. Coast Guard teams also tasked. Divers located ashore all OK. All Weather Boat tasked to recover and return to Dartmouth. Two persons on board. Lifeboat launched to investigate the shoreline near Tatcher Rock and out into the Bay. Rescue Whisky Bravo and Coast Guard team also tasked. Nothing found. Search stood down at 13:00 Additional Notes Assumed to have come from a gardeners bonfire on coastline adjacent to Thatcher Rock. ==========================================================================Incident Date 21-Feb-03 Ready for Service 21-Feb-03 Launch Instruct 22:34 Ready for Service Time 23:37 Launch Time 22:44 All Weather Boat (AWB) 2003 Shout Number 3 Coxswain David Hurford Mechanic Simon James Location of Casualty Shoalstone Beach Area Service Report of White Flare received. Canister observed falling. Lifeboat launched to carry out shoreline search from Brixham Breakwater and around Berry Head returning at a distance off shore. Extended search patterns within Torbay carried out. Additional Notes 23:25 Nothing sighted -search terminated ========================================================================== Incident Date 19-Feb-03 Ready for Service 19-Feb-03 Launch Instruct 14:21 Ready for Service Time 15:30 Launch Time 14:35 All Weather Boat (AWB) 2003 Shout Number 2 Coxswain David Hurford Mechanic Mark Criddle Location of Casualty Coastline Elberry Cove to Paignton Service Canoeist reported missing in Goodrington Beach Area. AWB launched to join search as close to shore as practical. 14:58 - Canoeist located safe and well on shore. Additional Notes Strong Easterly wind - rough close to shore. Coast Guard teams also in attendance on shoreline and Whisky Bravo (Portland Helicopter) also tasked. ========================================================================== . Lifeboat tasked to carry out a shore line and parallel search of the coastline between Brixham and Livermead. No result at this time. Additional Notes Coast Guard shore teams and Helicopter Tasked. Lifeboat launched Y boat to check inshore - Very rough conditions with Northerly near gale conditions. ==========================================================================
