steering failure in the entrance to the River Dart and crashed into a

met by HM
Coastguard to be warmed up. |

The Coastguard
was contacted with a report that two people had been cut off by the

tide at Thatcher
Point. ILB tasked but found no one. They then observed two people

meeting the
description on 'Flat Rock' and went to investigate. Apparently two young
|
|
people decided
to purchase a six foot inflatable and go camping on the Orestone
|
|
Rock. With the
strong winds at the time they stopped on 'Flat Rock'. ILB Crew |
|
recovered them
and returned them to Torquay Harbour where they were met and |
|

Notes |
With the wind
at the time the two were more than lucky to make the rock. This was
|
|
more than a
high risk gamble and should never be attempted. |
