Service Launched to assist in recovery of lady with a dislocated knee. Person located at

North end of Elberry Cove. Transferred from ILB to All Weather Boat for

onward transport to Torquay. See Shout 57

Service Over the last 24 hours concern has been mounting for a missing person from

Paignton. ILB launched to carry out a detailed search of the coastline from

Elberry Cove to Paignton. Nothing found

Service Report received of a single Red Flare observed between Brixham and Paignton.

Pan Pan issued. ILB and Coast Guard Teams tasked to search and investigate.

Location of Casualty Berry Head

Service The Police advised Brixham Coast Guard of a possible suicide attempt at Berry

Head. ILB tasked in case a water entry occurred. ILB stood down at 10:05 after

others confirmed attempt had succeeded.

Location of Casualty Torbay

Service Following a report from a member of the public that a kite surfer appeared to be

in difficulty the ILB was tasked to investigate. A second report was received

shortly after the launch with similar information. Nothing found initially and with

the failing light the All Weather Boat was also tasked.

Additional Notes Shortly after the AWB Launch at 17:46 the local kite surf school reported the

only kite surfer in Torbay had come ashore safely. Search terminated at 17:51

Location of Casualty Approx 1 Mile South of Torquay Harbour

Service Member of the public observed a capsized inflatable about one mile south of

Torquay Harbour. ILB Tasked to investigate there being no other vessels in the

vicinity. Found to be the tender to a Cruiser which had recently made a passage

between Torquay and Brixham.

Additional Notes Approximately 10 minutes after the launch information was received that a

tender had been lost and the descriptions matched. Area searched to confirm

no one else in difficulty

Location of Casualty Roundham Head, Paignton

Service Launched to two young girls cut off by the rising spring tide on the South side of

Roundham Head.

All safe and well - taken by ILB to Goodrington Cliff Walk steps where they

were met by the Coast Guard team.

Location of Casualty

Service Report received that tyre tracks on Berry Head near the South Fort indicated a

car had gone over the cliff edge - probably the previous night. Tyre tracks

consistent with 'joy rider' activity. ILB launched to check no one on rocks or

coastline in difficulty. Evidence of submerged vehicle but no one found.

Additional Notes Police divers to check vehicle - no one found
