Additional Notes Youth eventually found in caravan park at around 05:55 safe and well. Observed waving for help. ILB tasked to assist in recovery. No other problems Additional Notes ======================================================================================= Incident Date 22-Sep-02 Ready for Service Date 22-Sep-02 Launch Instruct 14:05 Ready for Service Time 15:13 Launch Time 14:06 Inshore Life Boat (ILB) 2002 Shout Number 52 Helm Nigel Crang Location of Casualty Brixham fish quay Service Fishing vessel crew member fell approximately 12 ft from fish quay on to deck of the fishing vessel sustaining severe injuries. ILB tasked to assist recovery from boat to shore and waiting ambulance. Additional Notes ILB crew members including a Paramedic were at the boat house and heard the radio traffic enabling rapid response =================================================================================Incident Date 06-Sep-02(2) Ready for Service Date 06-Sep-02 Launch Instruct 16:25 Ready for Service Time 17:35 Launch Time 16:29 Inshore Life Boat (ILB) 2002 Shout Number 51 Helm Nigel Crang Location of Casualty 300 yards East Goodrington Beach Service Nine year old girl rescued from the sea 300 yards off Goodrington beach. Her Lilo was blown out to sea and shortly before the ILB reached her the Lilo blew over. She could not swim. ILB Crew entered the water and rescued her. Additional Notes The young girl was quickly recovered to the beach and passed to the waiting Ambulance crew. A Good Job Well Done Gareth Ray and Nigel ======================================================================================= Incident Date 06-Sep-02(1) Ready for Service Date 06-Sep-02 Launch Instruct 02:42 Ready for Service Time 04:03 Launch Time 03:00 Inshore Life Boat (ILB) 2002 Shout Number 50 Helm Nigel Crang Location of Casualty Torquay Harbour Service Two young persons reported to have taken a small dinghy in Torquay Harbour - subsequentlly capsized. ILB and others tasked to find them. ILB crew located them on a yacht moored in the marina cold and wet. Additional Notes Police and Coastguard teams also assisted ======================================================================================= Incident Date 03-Sep-02 Ready for Service Date 03-Sep-02 Launch Instruct 07:21 Ready for Service Time 09:25 Launch Time 07:30 Inshore Life Boat (ILB) 2002 Shout Number 49 Helm Nigel Crang Location of Casualty Haldon Pier, Torquay Service At around 06:00 the Police received a report of unattended fishing tackle on the end of Haldon Pier - fish line still cast, tin of tobacco, towel and bag of bait. Search initiated both on land and shoreline. No result at this time.
